tesa tape, inc.'s has expanded its product assortment for the Unique Identification market

According to tesa's corporate website, tesa's UID products are "designed as sturdy, permanent marking agents, each with the ability to be custom imprinted with laser beam marking equipment."

One of their newest products is tesa 6940 Rapid. As its name denotes, this product is the most “rapidly” laser etched label offered by tesa. The company states, tesa 6940 Rapid can be quickly etched "due to its slim-line and unique backing material, which can be quickly etched with a custom marking code and
immediately applied to virtually any item. Additionally, just like tesa® 6973 Secure, tesa® 6940 Rapid is equipped with an embedded tamper-proof security feature. Any attempt to manipulate or remove the label results in deterioration of the label in small, fragmented pieces."
